• The persons intending to grant a Power of Attorney shall personally apply to a Notary Public, and shall have a valid passport with them. 
  • The Tax Payer real or legal persons shall also notify the Notary their tax identity numbers.
  • The agreements and the Power of Attorney that may require transactions to be conducted before the Land Registry Offices (real-estate sales commitments, settlement deeds) shall be issued in statutory form. The documents in statutory form shall be issued personally by the Notary Public, in accordance with the will and position of the concerned person. Thus, the concerned instruments may only be issued by a Notary Public in Turkey, upon the personal application of the concerned persons, with their valid passport, and two recent photos. 
  • In foreign countries, the consulates are authorized to perform the functions of the notaries. Our Clients in abroad may personally apply to a Turkish consulate in order to issue a Power of Attorney.  When issued or certified by the authorized departments of a foreign company, may only be acceptable in Turkey, provided that they are legalized by the Turkish consulate or the political officials of the same country, under the title “Apostille”.
  • In accordance with the provisions of the article 89 of the 1512 numbered Notaries Law, the agreements and the Power of Attorney that may require transactions to be conducted before the Land Registry Offices as a result of their character; and real-estate sales commitments, settlement deeds shall be issued in statutory form. The documents in statutory form shall be issued personally by the Consular, in accordance with the will and position of the concerned person. Thus, the concerned instruments may only be issued by the Turkish Consulate in abroad, upon the personal application of the concerned persons, with their valid ID or passport, and two recent photos.
